Maple Tutor

Start Maple with a blank worksheet.

Your worksheet should appear with a Maple input line that looks like
[ > |
with a flashing vertical bar. If the line looks like
[ > ?
instead, click on Options, then on Input Display, and finally on Maple Notation. You won't see any change on the current line, but you will see a Maple Input line as soon as you press Enter.

We will work directly with Maple instructions through most of this tutorial. You may also find the symbol palettes useful as an alternative to entering Maple commands. We provide an Appendix describing the use of these palettes.
