Warming, Cooling, and Urban Ozone Pollution

David A. Smith, Duke University

with the assistance of
Jer-Chin Chuang, Furman University
John Michel, Marietta College
Purpose: To study data that may be modeled by a differential equation of the form

dy/dt = k (y - b)

-- in particular, to determine the growth or decay constant and the stable equilibrium level directly from the data.

Prerequisites: The marine pollution and radioactive decay modules.
