Exams: There will be a midterm exam (possibly) and a final exam.
Homework: Weekly problem sheet.
A knowledge of Mathematics 602 (Commutative Algebra) is important. Math 625 (Riemann Surfaces) is helpful.
The possibility of an occasional quiz is not excluded. All work handed in should be written neatly without erasures. Multiple page submissions be stapled. Correct grammar, clarity of expression, and neatness are all expected! You may (and are encouraged) to discuss the problems with your classmates, however the paper you hand in must be composed and written by you individually.
