George Layton LANCASTER -- Services for George Helton Layton, 88, of Lancaster will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Ramsey Funeral Home by the Rev. Zora Oliver. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery. He died Wednesday at Garrard County Memorial Hospital. Born Aug. 28, 1910, in Garrard County, he was a son of the late Jesse W. and Osie Calico Layton. He was retired from Stewart Warner Corp. after 41 years of service, and was a Baptist. He was the widower of Geneva Bogie Layton. Survivors include two daughters, Nellie C. Carrier of Lancaster; and Shelby J. Chapdelaine of Duxbury, Mass.; a sister, Gladys Rogers of Lancaster; three brothers, Lewis Layton, William R. Layton and Harold Layton, all of Lancaster; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Mark and Michael Maloof, Maribeth Presnal, Randall Carrier and David and Charles Layton. Honorary pallbearers are Buddy Rogers, Dr. Paul Sides, Edward Goins, Sam Ross, J.T.
