On Monday, we have the in-class portion of the first test. On Wednesday, we will look at a few consequences of the existence of Taylor series expansions. Then we will move on to consider series expansions about isolated singular points -- Laurent series.
On Friday, we will meet in the lab to work on the module "Isolated Singularities and Series Expansions." Continue with the same lab teams; answer all the questions. The report is due on Friday, March 5.
Your answers to these problems must include the steps by which you obtained the series. You may use Maple to check your answers and help decide what calculations to do. However, for these problems, just reporting Maple's series calculations is not enough.
