Plan for Week 4

Week 4 (February 1 - February 5).

On Monday we will continue our discussion of complex transcendental functions. In particular, we will discuss complex logarithms. On Wednesday, we will introduce complex line integrals, and these integrals will be the focus of the lab on Friday.

The homework previously due for Monday, February 1 has been postponed until Wednesday, Feb. 3.

Additional homework due on Wednesday, February 3.

  2. Section 17.8: 1-4

Homework due on Monday, February 8.


Section 18.1: 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10

You should calculate these by hand. Then you might want to use Maple to check your answers.

Lab Activity for Friday, February 5

We will work through the module Complex Line Integrals I. Answer all the questions raised in the module.
