Plan for Week 3
Week 3 (September 15-19). We continue to recast the study of linear systems in different forms. On Wednesday, we will study linear transformations in earnest.

Assignment for Wednesday, Sept. 17
Write out and turn in solutions to the following exercises in Section 1.6:

1, 4, 5, 8, 11
16, 19, 22
27, 28, 29
32, 36

In lab on Friday, we will work through the lab "Matrix Arithmetic." Before Friday, you should read the first part of Section 2.1 -- through the definition of multiplication of matrices. This lab is straightforward; you should be able to finish most, if not all of this, during the class period.
