Week 12 (November 17-21).This week the focus will be on line integrals of vector fields. This will be the primary object of study for the remainder of the semester. On Monday we will look at the definition of the line integral of a vector field along a curve. In lab on Tuesday we will experiment with the definition. On Wednesday and Friday we will begin to look at versions of the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus appropriate to this setting.
I will not collect homework on Wednesday. The next homework will be taken up on Friday, November 21.

Note 1: The worksheet we were working on in class is due before leaving for Thanksgiving. If you read the section, you will recognize this as a slightly revised form of Exploration Activity 2 in Section 16.3.
Note 2: Read over Section 16.4 before class on Monday to get an understanding of what Green's Theorem is all about.
