I am primarily working with Prof. Mauro Maggioni on a project involving multiscale representation and solution of Markov decision processes.
I am also a research affiliate at the Center for Biological and Computational Learning, where I was a graduate student, working on a mathematical theory of the visual cortex with Prof. Tomaso Poggio (MIT), Lorenzo Rosasco (MIT/IIT), and Steve Smale (Berkeley/CityU HK).
Current research interests: hierarchical models in machine learning, Markov decision processes and planning, computational neuroscience and stochastic dynamical systems, and the integration of machine learning into non-traditional fields (control theory, neuroscience).
