SPDE's, Ergodicity and Fluid Dynamics a mini simposium at the AMAM, Nice 2003

Several researchers have recently studied ergodicity of certain stochastic partial differential equations, in particular nonlinear equations driven by very degenerate noise. One of the properties one wants to establish in this contxt is the fact that the randomness is transfered from the directly excited modes to the other modes by the nonlinearity. Various techniques have been used to study these kind of problems, including partial differential equations techniques, and probablistic ones, in particular coupling methods and the Malliavin Calculus. These study have been motivated mainly by physical problems, in particular fluid dynamics. This is why the stochastic Navier-Stokes equation in one of the objects of those studies. The aim of this session is to bring together some of the Researchers who have recently contributed to the field.
