List of book mistakes (Please report to me any mistake/typo of the textbook that you identify so that I may add it to the list below.)


2.2, problem 23, P. 35: 
The left hand side of the equation N'=N_0exp(-lambda t) should be N, not N'.

4.7, question 9, p. 177:
Answer on back of the book is wrong. Corret answer is 
y(t)=c_1 sin(t)+c_2 cos(t)+(1+cos^2(t))/3.

10.3, answer book, p. 632.  There are two identical graphs.
           They are for problem 13, not for 14.

10.6, problem 17  the eqn my'' + f(y) = 0 should be
                  my'' = f(y)  and it really matters here

Answer to 13.3, problem 17:  the formula for b_n is wrong.

Answer to 13.6, problem 5:
       tan w = -1/w  should be  tan w = -w
