Course synopsis:

The current course catalog is basically accurate. The topics to be covered are differentiable manifolds, fiber bundles, connections and curvature, characteristic classes, Riemannian geometry including submanifolds and variations of the length integral, complex manifolds, and homogeneous spaces.

I am planning to use as text the book "Riemannian Geometry" by M. do Carmo. I intend to cover most of the book, but may also include some extra topics, such as an introduction to symplectic geometry and/or Lie groups, depending on time and the interests of the class.
