Canoeing at Merchant's Mill Pond

On Friday, March 17, Troop 412 spent the night in the Church so they would be ready to leave for Merchant's Millpond in the wee hours of the morning Saturday. They spent Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning canoeing, including canoeing into their campsite for their stay Saturday night.
Here's the Troop 412 crew.
Are you sure this canoe's not upside down?

How many canoes can fit on one car? How many boys does it take to carry one canoe? The boys learned that transporting canoes is a little different from transporting dutch ovens.
Is the bow the pointed end? My head's stuck.

The boys also got some experience with kayaks, including the cleanup. Does a kayak full of water float?

This is better than the Tuesday bear at Raven Knob. Just after the picture at the top of the page was taken, someone yelled "alligator!" These are the people who didn't run.
