I was born and grew up in Hong Kong, China.
Here are some pictures of me when I was a
child.
In 1992, I moved half-way across the planet to attend
Duke University, where
I studied Computer Science and
Physics.
I then attended graduate school at the
Department of Computer Science of the
University of Toronto.
My dissertation research was on numerical methods for weather prediction
problems.
From February to December 2001, I was a post-doctoral fellow at the
National Center for Atmospheric Research,
Boulder, Colorado.
From Januray 2002 to June 2004, I was a post-doctoral fellow at the
Department of Mathematics of the
University of North Carolina,
Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
Since July 2007, I have been an assistant professor at the
Department of Mathematics of
Duke University,
Durham, North Carolina.
On 24 June 2000, my husband and I got married at the
Duke University Chapel
in Durham, North Carolina.
