Synopsis of course content
This is an introduction to algebraic geometry and commutative algebra aimed students who have a very basic knowledge of
commutative rings, ideals, modules and Galois theory. These
prerequisites are covered in Math 251.
Textbooks
Introduction to Commutative Algebra by Atiyah and Macdonald.
This text will not be followed closely.
