Description

An introduction to the general technology of schemes, with applications to the study of algebraic surfaces.

This course is intended for students interested in Algebraic Geometry, Commutative Algebra, Differential Geometry, Topology of Algebraic Varieties, Mathematical Physics, Number Theory, and related areas.

Prerequisites

Mathematics 252 (Commutative Algebra and Algebraic Geometry)
Mathematics 272 (Riemann Surfaces, formerly 278)
