Math 261 - Algebraic Topology

William Pardon

This will be a basic, beginning course in algebraic topology and will treat fundamental group, covering spaces, homology and a little bit of cohomology. The prerequisites are a course in abstract algebra and familiarity with basic notions of point-set topology (connectedness, compactness, identification and product topologies, continuity of maps without epsilons, etc.) or a willingness to pick them up on the fly.
