Description

This course will cover a variety of analysis topics not usually covered in depth in our curriculum:
  1. Scattering Theory in Mathematical Physics.
  2. Distribution Theory and Fourier Analysis on Spaces of Distributions.
  3. Local and Microlocal Analysis; applications to the propagation of singularities in linear PDEs.
  4. Theory of Semilinear hyperbolic PDEs; existence, uniqueness, propagation of singularities.
  5. Non-linear harmonic analysis.

Prerequisites

Math 242 (Functional Analysis) and Math 232 (Introduction to PDE) or consent of the instructor.
