First-year Seminar:
Applications of Mathematics to Physiology and Medicine

A variety of topics in mathematical physiology will be considered including the heart and circulation, control of cell volume, the functioning of the kidneys, and properties of neurons and the Hodgkin-Huxley equations. Prerequisite: Mathematics 32, 32L, or 41, or by permission of the instructor, the equivalent.
