First there is Lauren Fath, a rising sophomore at Duke University. She enjoys playing soccer, taking Tae Kwan Do and Judo classes, climbing (and falling out of) tall trees, and anything else which requires a great deal of energy to be involved in. She currently has a boyfriend named Trey who is, I might add, a stud. She is constantly surrounded by adoring friends and family and leads a very happy life....except when she is studying for orgo tests.
Then there is Genevieve Hiltebrand, also a rising sophomore at Duke. Genevieve enjoys playing in the marching band and basketball pep bands, as well as getting involved in Hoof 'n Horn musicals. She is currently planning on majoring in Math and Biology and then pursuing a career in those areas.
If you would like to see pictures of us with our friends, you should click here. I would actually advise against this since we have a tendency to be strange outside of class. Both of us are involved in a program at Duke known as Advance. This is a truly amazing program for women interested in math and science. Any prosepective Duke female freshman who love math and science should seriously consider applying for this program. It's tons of fun and you learn a lot about yourself as well as learning about potential career options.
