Advance Interdisciplinary Program

Perspectives On Science

An interdisciplinary course that links the sciences to mathematics, statistics, and computer science.

In both seminars of the first year, students will participate in Perspectives on Science, a .5 credit course taught by Dr. Andrea Bertozzi (Department of Mathematics). Each semester, Perspectives will focus on applications of mathematics, statistics, and computer science to fields including biology, medicine, environmental science, physics, and engineering. This course will include seminars given by nationally prominent women scientists in both academia and industry, as well as panel discussions highlighting the major steps in developing a career in the sciences.
